The Iberian Anarchist
Federation was founded during its first peninsular congress, in Valencia
(Spain), on July 25 and 26, 1927.
The F.A.I. is composed
of affinity groups and individuals that form an equalitarian and solidarity
association based on free agreements and mutual aid. The latter allows
to have within the Iberian Peninsula a specific anarchist organisation.
We believe that an anti-State and anti-capitalist insurrection can lead
to the creation of anarchist communism.
In the same way,
the Federacion Anarquista Iberica declares itself to be internationalist,
against all types of States, anti-authoritarian, anti-religious, etc.
The affinity groups
and the individuals federated within the F.A.I. are related with each
other by the mean of a Mutual Agreement. They organise Peninsular Congresses
and conferences where they take decisions by unanimity. They base their
practice on the development of direct action as a struggle principle.
Today, the F.A.I.
works for the creation of Libertarian Athenaei and for the development
of I.W.A. sections as well as their usual propaganda work. We publish
a monthly newspaper "Tierra y Libertad" ("Land and Freedom") in Castilian
and a Portuguese magasine called "Cuadernos de Acçao Directa". |
